Process: Ethyl Acetate (Natural)
We are always on the hunt for a great tasting decaf. One thing we have noticed is that the ethyl acetate process has quickly become one of our favorite ways to process decaf coffees. Also, called "natural" decaf processing, ethyl acetate seems to preserve high end fruit notes as well as sweetness in the cup.
We get a sweet lemon note from this cup, almost like lemon meringue. It transitions quickly to dark chocolate, for an approachable and enjoyable flavor profile. The type of coffee we are happy to drink any time of day (including evening!).
